  • 00:00 An organized bathroom just makes life easier so I'm going to show you a bunch of different organizing ideas for all the different organizing Styles so your bathroom stays tidy. All the time organization is definitely not one siiz fits-all. It's important to know how you organize so that your spaces stay tidy especially in hi traffic areas like your bathroom. But your bathroom is also a great place to diagnose your organizing style if you have a lot of bathroom products out on your counter. Like your toothbrush and your toothpaste and the things you use every day. You're probably a visual organizer which means you want to see your things. It's out of sight out of mind you need them to be in a visual place. Every day also open up those drawers. Are they neat or is everything kind of jumbled together if everything's kind of a big hot mess in. There you are definitely a n detailed organizer if you take time to put things away in a really detailed way. You are most likely a detailed organizer and this is important because I don't want to waste your time or money setting up systems that don't work for you. So let your stuff dictate your style and let's jump in with some amazing solutions for a visual organizer. Visual organizers have to get stuff off the surfaces but still really really Visual and I'm just going to I'm going to throw you a truth BM right here. A lot lot of visual organizers think that they're not visual. They will say I want everything to be clean and clear at all times but the truth is they're not putting their stuff away. They're leaving it out until company comes or they have to do a big clean. This is fantasy self if you every day are leaving your stuff out. You need to create a home that's out because in the meantime you're just living with mess. This is about stopping the mess.

  • 01:57 This is about creating solutions to keep you tired tidy. So if your bathroom counters are covered in stuff think about a way to put it on the wall right beside where you normally put it down you can attach it to the bottom of your mirror I love. This this is for showers. I'm actually going to use this in aby's shower. But I love this because it has these sticky adhesives. This is just a shower organizing kit from Amazon but you can actually attach this to the mirror to the wall anywhere. For all of those products that you normally leave out so instead of setting it down toss it into here you can now wipe the counters you're not having a constant clutter mess everything's contained but still super visual. So this is a great option of putting it on the wall especially if you are short on Space if you do have counter space go for one of these tiered options like this something that your products are still out but they're contained and you want to contain them. So it's easy to wipe the counter. So this the mess doesn't continually spread and like fall in the sink. This is really inexpensive. It's like under $20. It has spots for toothbrushes and all the things you need to get ready but it's keeping it tidy. So don't try to fight the fact that you're visual if you are look at options that can still keep things out but keep it tidy and organized so quickly.

  • 03:24 Some great options for visual organizers are having turntables any clear containers and definitely shelving in Izzy's bathroom. It's really really tiny so I'm just installing some inexpensive floating shelving right on her wall and using another thing that's perfect for visual organizers which is jars. So you can see all of your. Stuff like give a home to the things that are on the counter but that are still close to where you put them down and your bathroom will transform into a super tidy space. Now let's talk about some awesome solutions for hidden or organizers. You know you're a hidden organizer. If you're consistently putting the things you use every day away not because company's coming over but for yourself so you're done brushing your teeth or brushing your hair. You're just kind of tucking things out of sight that doesn't mean your counters spotless. But it's kind of a scale. So the majority of the time you are hiding things away. You are a hidden organizer so you need things in your hidden spaces to catch that clutter and just keep things organized. So you can have little categories. So drawer dividers are a must visual organizers. You got to put stuff away sometimes too that's hidden. So every organizing style needs drawer dividers so you can open a drawer and just toss things away quickly but keep it tidy it's also really important if you're short on Space to look at solutions that can hang on the inside of doors whether it's a closet door a cabinet door for all of your stuff. So this is a great option for all of your hot tools. But it doesn't just have to be for that like anything you can put inside your cabinet doors is just going to create more storage for you one of my favorite organizing solutions for hidden organizers like me especially if you're not really detailed is a get ready bin so think about everything you use every morning to get ready if it's your brush or even add your multivitamins. In there whatever it is that you use consistently put in one bin so that way you just pull the whole thing out. You put it on the counter. You get ready out of the bin and then you just tuck it away quickly when you're done again. This really really works especially for Big Picture non-detailed People like me because your mess it could be a hot mess and you're get ready bin but your mess is contained and then you can quickly put it away. This also works for butterflies or like those visual organizers that also are not detailed but instead of tucking it. Away put it on a Shelf so get yourself a shelf and just put it there.

  • 06:04 So it's still in sight but it's not all over your counter. I got to interrupt this video for one second to thank today's sponsor Robo Rock. It's like a command center for your floors. It has everything you need to get super clean. It has a cordless handheld back that's good for all of your floors. The suction on this blew my mind. It's like suction for days. I'm very impressed. But I think the coolest part is definitely this wet dry vacuum. This can get the goo it can get the mud the leaves the spills it basically mops and vacuums your floor at the exact same time and it is Amaze balls and don't worry about the mess because this vacuum self-cleans and self- dries. Also the little handheld can be instantly turned into a handheld V for your car or your sofa. Your furniture everything you need to clean your floors in one amazing floor cleaning Command Center.

  • 06:59 I'm going to going to put the link to Robo rock down below. You have to check this out so now let's chat about the other half of your organizing style so you kind of know if you're visual or hidden. Let's talk more about Solutions if you are a really detailed person versus a non-detailed person. I don't know what else to call it like I call it a micro and a macro organizer. So detailed micro organizers love categories. They want everything sorted into lots of little tiny little containers but they're actually going to take the time to put it away like that. So when they're done with their lip balm. They're going to put it back in their lip balm drawer. You get what I'm you get where I'm going here. Super detailed Embrace that set up a system so that it stays tidy and it's really fast and easy to find what you need. But if you are the person when you are done with something you want to be detailed. But you just toss. It sit in a hot mess sandwich. Embrace that I call this macro organizing and I love using. Solutions like this big containers for big categories like first aid where you just toss everything in is it a hot mess Sandwich inside yes. It is but everything is like first aid related there's Band-Aids and and and all the things you need. It's a jumbled mess but that's okay. That's how your brain works. You don't mind taking a few minutes to find what you need. You have to put it away quickly. So.

  • 08:34 Solutions like this work great with kids in my kids bathroom I have lots of big bins just like this so they can see what they need. But they can put it away really fast no matter what your organizing style. It's really important that you also have kind of like kits in your bathroom. What I mean by this is gather like categories that you use all the time together and give them a dedicated ated home. I love having baths. I'm all about a nighttime bath. So I've created a bath kit here. In this old three tiered cart that I have on the top I put bath bombs and masks that I use I have a candle in there. I have all the things I use every night. When I have a bath I have bubble bath and everything right beside me on this little cart and on the side I just grabbed some hooks from Amazon to hang like my sponge and my back scrubber. Thingy it doesn't matter what it looks like think about the things you use together. More examples of kits that you can create are vitamin kits daily. Medication kits a medicine or first aid. Kit think about the things you use really often and organize them together into a bin or a basket to just make life easier and last but definitely not least. It's really important in your bathroom that you create homes for those clutter things that are just normal everyday things like hand towels. I don't have a spot in this bathroom. So I got this cute little tea.

  • 10:05 So we can hang the hand towels so they're not just all over. The counter also make sure you have a spot for wet towels to go so hooks on the wall or on the back of the bathroom door are a must for wet towels. Robes pajamas all the stuff that would normally just end up on the bathroom floor and speaking of the bathroom floor. If you or your kids you get undressed and you always just throw your dirty clothes on the bathroom floor get a hamper for your bathroom. It doesn't matter how small your bathroom is get a thin hamper. This will solve the problem you're not going to change overnight and suddenly be a person that's going to put your dirty clothes in another room. Embrace that and catch the dirty clothes right where you naturally pile them. I also recommend somewhere in your bathroom that you have a cleaning product that you like just one you don't need a million a one product. Wonder so that but if you do have toothpaste goo or splatter on the mirror you can get it really quickly even having like a Windex. Wipe package nearby is definitely going to keep your bathroom cleaner. I hope you're feeling inspired to create a bathroom that stays tidy today think outside the box know your organizing style. If you're not sure I do have a free quiz that you can take on my website clutterbug. Me and find a ton of different solutions that can help catch your natural clutter and also I just have to say this one last thing. The most important thing you can do in. Your bathroom is declutter get rid of all the makeup that you'll never wear because it's not your color or the lotions that you don't like expired medication clearing out the excess is going to free you up so much space. I don't want to see any of you in the comments. My bathroom's too small to put anything away way.

I've always said you are who you are and like your organizing style doesn't change. But there's there's a little Cricket getting up in here. For some reason. I am I am still not a detailed person like at all. I'm a hot mess sandwich. I'm a disaster I will never fold my underwear. I will never fold my pajamas and yet I'm starting to like when I put away laundry put it away. Color coordinated in my closet. I have been decanting things from the grocery store like coming home from the grocery store taking things out of packages and pouring it into the containers who is this person and what is happening. I don't know I don't know if like some things I have more capacity for. Now. I think maybe because I have a little bit more space. It's easier to put things away. So I'm taking those few extra minutes. I'm supposed to be the expert on the organizing Styles and I am confuzzled. I don't know maybe it's because it's still like a new house. So I'm still like excited so. I'm taking time to put things away. Neat. This is a whole new world for me. I wore these boots and put them back on the Shelf. Neatly I am 43 years on this planet kick. My boots into a pile person never have I taken the time to put away my shoes neatly in my life. I don't know what's happening. I'm afraid. And I'm I'm afraid and excited at the same time. Let me know in the comments below if you have like changed your organizing style over the years or you notice a difference. Maybe. It's like when you slowly get your life. Together you can now have more space mentally to be more detailed. I don't know don't look to me for the answers I'm going to look to you for the answers.
