Answer
Here are some tips for decorating a round dining room table:

Choose a Centerpiece That Fits the Table Shape

Since round tables have no corners, a centerpiece that is round or circular in shape works best. Some ideas:
  • A large bowl or vase filled with fruit, flowers, or greenery25
  • A tiered tray with decorative items arranged vertically2
  • A lazy susan with condiments, dips, or small plates5
The centerpiece should be proportional to the table size - not too large to overwhelm the space, but substantial enough to be the focal point.

Use Candles for Ambiance

Candles in candlesticks or lanterns make a lovely addition to a round table. Group them on either side of the centerpiece in varying heights for visual interest2. Battery-operated candles on timers are a convenient option.

Layer Textures and Colors

Use a table runner, placemats, napkins, and dishes in coordinating colors and patterns to tie the look together5. Mix textures like woven placemats, linen napkins, and a smooth table runner for a layered, inviting feel.

Keep the Table Clutter-Free

Clear the table of clutter when not in use to maintain a polished look2. Avoid overcrowding the table with too many decor items that could interfere with dining.

Consider the Room's Style

Decorate the table in a style that complements the overall look of the dining room45. A rustic table may call for natural elements like greenery and wood tones, while a modern table looks chic with sleek vases and candlesticks. The key is choosing a few statement pieces that work with the table's round shape and the room's design. Avoid clutter and keep the focus on a beautiful, functional centerpiece.

  • 01:30 My dining table is a 60 inch round dining table. This is from restoration hardware as a side note. I will have everything linked down in the description box if you want to get your hands on stuff. Even the kind of furniture items. I have behind me. Everything will be linked down below but let's get into this video. Starting with this first look. This is what I currently have on my dining table. All. I have is a fresh bouquet actually. It's not fresh. It's on its way out but a bouquet of flowers there and then I did a pedestal bowl uh with some fresh lemons. I did this in my rectangular dining table style but think when you are kind of putting decor on your tables. Just to think less is more you don't need a ton of stuff. So a simple arrangement and a bowl of lemons is a simple thing to add to a dining table. So this is look number one for you.

  • 02:19 Here is look number two. I absolutely love this look so I brought in a lot more color to this style so starting with this vessel. This is a vintage vessel that I got at a local antique shop here in san diego and then I paired it with these stems that I have talked about on my channel before these are from hobby lobby. They're like a willow type eucalyptus stem and I only have three stems in there kind of giving it more of this like simplistic approach and then down below all. I have paired is a wooden bowl and I added some fresh artichoke bringing in that green element again and then I also styled a marble mortar bowl that I love styling with here in my home so bringing in color bringing in texture from the artichoke and the willow leaves and just giving it some visual interest and I absolutely love it so when I'm styling I try to do things in odd numbers obviously sometimes when I'm styling there are even numbers. But I feel like when you are styling. You know different areas that odd numbers tend to look a little bit better to the eye. So this is style number two let me know what you guys think I'm loving it and I like. I said in my video for the rectangular styling definitely lean into using natural foliage. These are real artichokes that we will use for our dinners but I think bringing in something like that lemons artichoke pomegranates. Just is such a simple thing when it comes to styling even if you wanted to do moss balls.

  • 03:45 That's an option as well but love this. So this is style number two all right so here is look number three utilizing a tray as our grounding for this space. So I did a wicker tray there that is from home goods and then I did something a little bit more practical so for those of you who enjoy having like your salt and pepper on your dining table. This is going to be the style for you. I went with something a little bit lower this time as far as far as the foliage goes now. I did a vintage black vessel. You guys should recognize these and then. I added that rosemary bush that is new to target in the newest line from shea mcgee and then I added that black trio candlestick holder that I got on amazon and I then added my salt and pepper so again. This is going to be a style for someone that likes to have that type of stuff on their dining table housed and that tray acts as a little barrier. It has everything isolated within that tray kind of containing it. So this is going to be a style number three for you guys. All right here is look number four. I love.

  • 05:02 This look because it's very organic. I use a lot of different colors a lot of different textures and I am so here for it so with round tables. I've been utilizing a lot of like things that ground the space. So this. For example. This is an antique cutting board that I have as our base and then I obviously did the styling there on top. So I did an antique cutting board there and then I just added. This natural foliage actually removed it from this console table behind it. This is just a glass vase with olive branches from my backyard as well as eucalyptus so kind of adding two different type of foliage there to give it this really beautiful natural organic look and then I added a small pedestal glazed bowl with lemons and then I've talked about these bowls before they're just a black vintage bowl that I have styled they're stacked in one another so again playing on different colors. Different textures. A really beautiful style for someone that has a very organic type home so don't be afraid to mix and match textures colors. I have a very modernized type table with the marble but then bringing in some different textures. There on top gives it some visual interest. So this is style number four for you guys all right and here is the fifth and final style very simple. I didn't want to do a bunch of stuff. I wanted to give you guys a little bit of options as far as something. That's a little bit more on the simplistic side versus something that has a little bit more going on busier look. So all I did was. These are two vintage dough balls stacked within one another and then I just loaded it with geocrystals. I absolutely love this look even for a sideboard or a console table. I currently have this doble look on my coffee table but I'm like you know what let's bring it to the dining table and see what it looks like and I love it.

  • 06:44 It's simple. It's it's it's simple but it's not at the same time. If you guys are new to my channel absolutely love geode crystals. I love quartz crystals anything with really great energy. So. I love that this there's a lot of texture going on within this style you have the layering element between the two doubles there and then having that texture between the geode. Crystals just adds again some visual interest and it's simple you don't have a lot going on and I love it so yeah. So I will have everything linked down in the description box as far as the geocrystals go. I did find a seller on amazon that sells them in bulk so that will be down below.
